This blog is in the middle of a restructuring, and a focusing. Will it be about my baking projects?? Will it be about my life as a student? Who knows??

Cracked like Humpty-Dumpty's head!

Hello fellow bloggers and blog readers. It is I. The wonderous, amazing Kluziod! Be amazed! Be awed! Be thunderstruck! All by the death-defying acts of clumsiness that can be witnessed nowhere else in the world! Step right up! Get your tickets heeere!

Ok that was kind of over the top, but I feel kind of like a circus freak, because I'm so doggoned clumsy. So, this past weekend was Alyssa and Mike's wedding, which I stood up in, and had a blast at! It was an awesome day and an awesome wedding (and I must admit, being fourth in line is way more relaxing and fun than being first, right after the bride). But, there was one thing that made the day not quite as great (although it was a great story to tell at the reception to willing listeners who had had too much beer). So here's the story:

It was the Saturday morning of the wedding, and I was recruited to pick up Alyssa and Courtney, (who was also a bridesmaid) and transport all of us to the beauty salon to get beautified for the wedding. So, I got to Alyssa's house right around 9:30 and went inside the back door to help her get things together and carry stuff out. Now, she has some cement stairs going up to her back door, surrounded by a little cement patio. And silly me, forgot to take a gander around at all the possible obstacles that could be in my way. So, we were walking out of her house to my car, and as I stepped down from the bottom step (with my arms full of bagles and knives and cream cheese and the like) somehow, my legs decided to get in a fracas with the metal wheelbarrow at the bottom of the stairs. Needless to say, the rest of my body didn't want to join in, and promptly fell to the ground in protest. Unfortunately, my hands didn't think to let go of the bagles and other food stuffs to allow for them to catch me. Oh no. They thought my ribs would do a much better job of cushioning the blow. Stupid hands.

So, here I sit with bruised, possibly cracked or broken ribs, bruised legs and a bruised ego. Stupid klutzy me.

In anycase, other than that, the wedding was great! The reception was probably one of the most fun receptions I've been to. Mike and Josh's roommates were all there, and they let me hang out with them all night. So, I had four boys to take me for a spin around the dance floor, since Marvin wasn't there to do the honors. Jake and I did our usual performance of Hey Ya! for the throngs of screaming fans who have previously seen our stellar dance moves. The end of the night was kind of bittersweet, since I'm not sure if I'm ever going to see those guys again. I met them when I was a freshman in college, so saying good-bye was a bit sad. But like Timmy said "never say never!" Who knows when I'll run into them again.

Anyways, there's the summary of that evening. I'm electric-sliding on outta here!
